Courses

STL's educational activities include 10 Under-graduate and 6 Post-graduate courses offered to students studying both in the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (N.T.U.A.) and in other N.T.U.A. Schools.

 

The under-graduate courses offered are the following:

  • Introduction to Manufacturing Technology and Laboratory, (1st Semester)
  • Materials Science and Technology I and Laboratory (Metallic Materials), (3rd Semester)
  • Materials Science and Technology II and Laboratory (Non-metallic Materials, Corrosion), (4th Semester)
  • Shipbuilding Technology and Laboratory, (7th Semester)
  • Welding Science and Technology, (8th Semester)
  • Analysis and Design of Composite Materials Vessels, (8th Semester)
  • Health and Safety in Ship Repair and Shipbuilding (8th Semester)
  • Marine Structural Reliability (9th Semester).

There are also two under-graduated courses offered to students studying in the School of Mechanical Engineering (N.T.U.A.), that are taught by STL's faculty members, entitled: "Welding-Casting" (7th Semester) and "Technology and Mechanics of Composite Materials" (8th Semester).

 

The post-graduate courses offered are the following:

  • Materials for Marine Structures and their Processing, MSc course - Naval and  Marine Technology and Science
  • Ship Structural Design, MSc course - Naval and  Marine Technology and Science
  • Mechanics of Composite Materials, MSc course - Materials Science and Technology
  • Welding, MSc course - Materials Science and Technology
  • Physical Metallurgy, MSc course - Materials Science and Technology
  • Technology of Welded Structures, ΜSc course - Automation Systems
